My "ex" primary care physician had a dislike for chiropractors. Not my chiropractor specifically but the general practice.

Ohhh crap! I have an E350 with 4WABS that I just put an EHCU in... and I don't have a NGS Blue Service card. I also cant find our 007-00103 Break Out Box Adaptor... If I had that I could command the pump motor on and open the valves. You should see the response I got from the Hot Line. Not sure what to think about that.

Well yeah. You could have stayed home on your day off!

7.3L Cooling system flush
Keith Browning replied to Coolcat390's topic in 7.3L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
As I recall there are 1/4-18 square head plugs on the block located at the rear of the engine. You could also remove the block heater is equipped or the plug on the rear oil cooler header. In this case you would also want to remove the thermostat first and install a flushing tee in the heater line. -
6.4 L front oil pump and crank seal replacment
Keith Browning replied to dkachma's topic in 6.4L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Thanx Jim. I use ratchets which sometimes end up in the wrong position and getting stuck with pressure from the tensioner pushing the handle against the fan stator. Some days I really feel like an idiot... if I am not getting something jammed I am dropping "the same" fastener or a wrench while I am precariously laying on top of an engine... over and over and over... -
I wuz razzin Brad... I am sure we have all been "Not Me" at one time in our lives for one reason or another. I'll admit to it. Now, a Super Star Tester II is something I haven't seen in YEARS! I think the last time I actually used one I was setting a FIPL switch on a 7.3L IDI with an E4OD transmission or was that an NGS. Awwwwwww crap! I cant remember. Could we technically consider the Star tester a museum piece now?

6.4 L front oil pump and crank seal replacment

With good dexterity and a little patience you can actually do that repair without removing the fan, shroud or even the stator. The hard part is torquing the NEW dampener bolts which are torque to yield. Access the torque converter nuts, install a 9/16ths socket onto one and turn the crank until it locks up. Though, I have to admit the belt tensioners have pissed me off on several occasions but that is my fault for not being able to afford a decent tensioner tool... but that is another story for another day. -
I don't care who you are that there is funny!

And YOU and your management LET that happen. As a coincidence I have a 1995 bus getting a reman EHCU on Monday. I am glad we still have a working NGS tucked away. I saw it in use the other day and almost forgot about it. Thanx for the reminder Brad.

Well Brad that is what the owner letter from the FSA basically states can happen isn't it? And we have seen secveral topics about this in the public forums now already haven't we? Poor bastards. "Now my truck upshifts at 3150 RPM instead of 3200 RPM."

Mmmmmmm. Snickers.

Comes with the territory Brad. Actually, I don't mind busses as much as I HATE ambulances. Don't get me wrong, they still suck though. 7.9 hours for the cooler and 5.4 hours for the flushing - both TSB's. My next question is how do you claim extra for the bus heater and extra "stuff" you need to remove when using TSB's? M-time is a joke. We are limited to 1.5 hours. I die on these. I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! 2008 f350 added flat bed, blinkers are fast now.
Keith Browning replied to sam's topic in Body, Chassis and Electrical
The 2008 Super Duties have a smart junction box that must be reconfigured when LED lights are installed. It is a simple process and takes only a few minutes... with IDS. I attached The Truck BBA Bulletin with the procedure... -

That guy talks funny. Did you ever notice that when people swear they lose their accent? LOL! I was waiting for him to put that air chisel through his hand. And lookie! Another EGR hose with a hose clamp around it!!! -
A bottle of Jägermeister in the freezer, tequila on the shelf and some barley pop in the fridge.

Well, it looks like most things are new on this system. Did you inspect the injector inlet o-rings? The fact that ICP goes down and the truck DOES stall with the IPR % up tells me you are chasing a leak but at this point I would also verify base oil pressure hot. If you are losing oil pressure there the HPOP system could be getting starved.

Man, those are some serious curves! And the race truck ain't too bad either!

P0299 Turbo Underboost That Won't Go Away
Keith Browning replied to mchan68's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Since this is a late build 2004 engine could you not just use the VVT tool and remove all doubt? Once upon a time not so long ago I was working on a 6.0L that was running just fine. Guy came in for an oil change and a cooling system service. I noticed one of the turbo to pedestal bolts missing which is not too uncommon. I keep some spare bolts around so I did the guy a favor and installed one. Well, turns out that I must have distorted the turbo in the process and damaged the VGT actuator. Silly things happen.
