  1. Is your truck not starting at all ?. After a high pressure system repair they seem to have a long crank till you get them out on the road and drive them hard.
  2. Make sure the connector on the valve cover is pushed in to the uvc all the way.
  3. It just blows me away all the shit that is going wrong with these "new" models. I know nobodies perfect, but man the last couple of new model launches have be very painful. Can somebody tell a story about another manufactures crap.
  4. Don't forget to check the fuel rail pressure sensor too. Had one leak thru the sensor.
  5. I would stick with rotary, from what I have seen they seem to be built better. I would go with the 18 000, its a real nice hoist!
  6. I have had a couple in a row roll in with p012f. I perform the pinpoint test and don't find anything wrong. Has anyone run into this code and found a fault or is this just another cold weather problem ?
  7. I would do a manual compression test. I had one that had an uneven crank but would run smooth with white smoke. I found low compression and found a valve seal issue. The guide was trashed and the valve seat was not sealing.
  8. You have an uneven sounding crank. Does relative compression show any low cylinders.
  9. I was kind of thinking that, thanks
  10. Does anyone know if these long blocks get the updated high pressure oil pump adaptor. I have a 2006 f-550 that got a long block around 2 years ago and I was just wondering if fqr's got them installed.
  11. Just finished a bed plate re seal on an 2005 f-350. It was an esp warranty job!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Funny he didn't say "take off you hoser eh" well eatting a jelly donut.
  13. I have an 2009 e-450 that may need an engine harness but the # that I come up with is back ordered. The vin is 1fdxe45p39da08558 and I get 8c2z-12b637-a for the main engine harness. Just wanted to know if this is the right part #. Thanks
  14. So does this mean that Keith should open a 3.2 duratorq part of the forum?
  15. I just had this one on Friday. Battery light on with code p0620 2011 6.7. I found the yellow wire on the drivers side wire harness cradle rubbed thru.
  16. I had my first leaker the other day. I was doing the pump cover gasket tsb and found the high pressure fuel pump to fuel cooler line was very hard to take off. So I preformed the leak test and found fuel just pouring out that line that was hard to take off. I tried to re seal it but it would still leak even with new nuts and seals. I inspected the line and found the surface were the o-ring sits was concave. I guess they had torqued the copper washers too much at the factory and it damaged the line so that the viton would not seal. Man that 5 minute test saved my ass, and my pay check!!!!!
  17. My truck was doing the same thing, I put a new starter in and all is well, even starts faster now.
  18. I had one just like in this topic. I don't know if yours sounds like this( I find sounds hard to describe)but the waste-gate control actuator fixed it. http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=42541&an=
  19. It has been a long time since I have done a manual regen on a 6.7, if they have not changed ids then yes. I think you can do a manual regen two ways, driving or with the truck parked.
