  1. I have an early 2003 6.0 1FTNW21P83EB46519. I have a problem in my ficm harness and would like to replaced it. The problem is that the parts catalog tells me that the ficm harnees and the engine hanress come as one. I was wondering if an late 2004 ficm harness would work? or is there a reason they come as one.
  2. Shit like this happens to everyone. I know how you feel when you have new people looking at you. This is what happens when you work at a shop for a long time. Owners and managers come and go and you feel like you always have to be on your best game for the new ones. I hate the feeling but when you bang off a couple of good jobs you will get back into your regular routine.
  3. We have had one or two biased sensors. Are you seeing alot ?

There is a lot of parts that only have coverage to 5 years/80 000 km on the 6.7. I just did a retail def fluid pump on a 2011 with 82 000 kms. I hope they have some kind of esp that will cover parts like this. Does chevy and dodge have a similar warranty for emission parts?
  5. I lose jobs because of the cost of parts on a weekly basis. Its hard to show the value of oem when they are double the cost of the aftermarket. Its a rock in a hard place because for the most part the oem stuff is good and when you sell aftermarket stuff it can some time put you in a jam if they don't back there parts with a good warranty.
  6. I had a 2004 that was doing the same thing a couple of years ago. I think I replaced just the tp sensor and it fixed the concern. I guess the sensor would go bias and close the blade.
  7. I had a 2007 f-550 that came in for no start hot. When did my air check this is what I found. I guess you still can't ruel out a leak from the pump fitting. The nut was loose !
  8. What lets go inside the high pressure oil pump that would let air into the low side. Just woundering if its a check vavle or somthing like that.
  9. I was wondering if there is a spark plug thread repair kit for these engines. The one I can find states that it is for triton engines but it does not say anything about the 4.6 dohc intech motor. any info would be great
  10. On the 6.7 I have only used the flare nut socket and I like it because you don't have to adjust your torque like you would with a crows foot. You just have to make sure the socket is clear of any other fuel lines when torquing, some fuel lines are close but will clear if the socket is in the right place.
  11. What is the 6.4 method? Do you mean leaving the whole fan shroud in place? I have only done 2 primary rads on 6.7 and found if you remove the front bumper you can make less of a mess.
  12. I have the snap-on 17mm and 19 mm flare nut socket. Works very well ! and works good on the high pressure pump lines on the 6.4 as well http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?...amp;dir=catalog
  13. I put fuel in my truck the other week at $1.28 a liter or around $4.88/gal. Don't know but I think it's going up over $1.30 a liter this week. I was just in Minneapolis and the price is way over gas, $4.09/gal compared to gas at 3.23/gal. Why the big difference in the US ? I have paid as low as $0.78 a liter for diesel in the last year would, be nice to see that again
  14. Wow there is a new egr cooler ? or is it just a new part #
  15. Mike is that for the pigtail or is that the harness part #
  16. I have one hear that the conector is damaged and needs to be replaced. Is there a repair kit or pigtail kit? or does the hole harness have to be replaced?
  17. Well me and the parts guy found were vc-11 is from. It is what was used in 09m04 recall to clean the cooling system when it had a plugged heater core. The parts guy is I good guy he just got his info on vc-11 from a bad source. He has sent an email the parts hotline to see if we can get more info on how this product work's and what it can be used for.
  18. Does anyone know if this stuff works as good as simple green? The parts guys tells me that this is what ford wants us to use when flushing oil out of a cooling system but I can not find any info on what it is used for.
  19. I pulled them apart and found pitting in the sealing surface, so I am going to replace them both. Wow! there not cheap !!!!!
  20. I have one right now. It's an 2003 school bus with the 7.3 and lots of oil in the degas. We don't have that pressure tester for the oil cooler but I kind of put pressure to it and I did not find a leak. Other then the rough casting in the headers, there isn't anywhere else that could cause oil to get into the cooling system ? or is there ?
  21. Do you have a picture of this bracket? Or I picture of you taking the engine out?
  22. I have had two trucks now that have had a rad leak or a hose leak with low coolant and no complaint. Does it set a code or just reduce power or both.
  23. The truck had lots of modifications and the main reason I don't think I would use these gaskets is because a mls gasket would not fail the way this one did. They ended up towing the truck back to there dealer.
  24. This is a Hypermax head gasket with less then 5000 kms. Tough luck for this guy he just had this installed and broke down 5000 kms away from were he lived. These parts were installed under warranty so it became a hard one to deal with. I have also heard that people have had good luck with these gaskets as well. This has been my only run in with a failed hypermax head gasket
