are these the fuel rails and fuel pump to cooler line on a 6.4,I have a truck down and they have told me b/o till the end of spetember with no stock usa
-
I have a 2009 f350 6.4 that has gone thru its 3 fuel system in less then 6000 kms. I don't know what is going on and the hotline does not know either.I have never found any water in the tank, any rust stains in the secondary housing or in the high pressure fuel pump and he has told me that he is not putting any non ford fuel conditioner in the tank. I have called around and there is only one place in my province that does fuel testing and they are back up for 2 months. At first I was shit scared that I was not flushing the system enough after replacing all the fuel system parts but that is not the case. I would start with a low pressure flush, disconnect all lines then flush them(as well as the cylinder heads),replaced the frame mounted pump, secondary housing, all flex fuel lines, fuel cooler, injectors, rails fuel, fuel rail pressure snesor, flush out fuel tank, then bled the low pressure fuel system then the high side, the customer states that when it gets around 80 km to empty and it will die and not re start,so I checked the pick up to see if it is bias, but it reads correctly. the codes I get are p0087 and p2291,I will preforme the pinpoint test but when I get to the part were it tells to to put the high pressure bled tool in it will blow out I shit load of air then clear out and look clear. after this it will re start but the end result is that I will always have metal in the fuel system. This time I will be replacing the in tank sending unit and the fuel return tubes along with everything else. I am shity at writing posts so if anything sounds funny just ask me to clarify. just looking for input or any kind of advice. I have alot of time to think about this one because some of the parts are backordered till end of september

Who makes the tool to do the injector cups with the heads on? where can I get one -
one came in today, the other diesel guy got so I am not to sure what is going on,it came in with low def fluid, customer said he has added 10 liters and it did not last long till it read low agian, the other diesel tech filled the def tank and road tested for 50 kms with no problems,I just hope the customer did not add the def fluid to the diesel tank, time will tell on this one

I just had one with a high fuel trim, the fuel trim on #6 was +19 and all my pinpoint test are going to a faulty injector not base engine, hotline wanted me to check for debris in the fuel system befor replacing the injector, cracked the line and found lots of metal in the fuel system, this is the 3rd one this month thats has metal in the system with no wif codes, water stains anywhere or water in the tank, so be careful when condemning fuel injectors,Billy_o tell Scott to check his e-mails
-
I would also check the secondary fuel filter housing for sings of water, did you have any wif codes,if you have either you then have to check for debris in the fuel system

all good points,I will tell them about the gps stuff but I don't think they want to spend the money as I don't think this company really wants to put speed goverors on there buses, they got bought out by I bigger company and this is there rule, so now they have to retrofit the buses with some kind of system,
-
I have a fleet company that wants to put speed governors in there school buses, they have 30 trucks form the 2000 to 2008's, just want to know if anyone has found a good system to use and if you have any advice?
-
somthing to look out for, this truck would always have the water in fuel light coming on, so did some looking and I found the filler neck had a rust hole on the vent side right behind the rear tires with no splash sheild, the problem is that they had this service body for over 8 years and they never replaced the filler necks when they get there new turcks

'03 Intermittent No-Start When Hot
Steve Mutter replied to mchan68's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
the truck I am working was a 2004 no start with base flow but no icp, I diag a hpop and when I went to remove it I found the bolt for the gear was all the way out, maybe when yours is hot the pump gear is just spinning, another thing to check is base flow when hot and have a look at the low pressure oil regulator to see if it has wear marks on the sides, maybe sticking form debris? just thinking out loud -
I wounder if I could take a leave of absence, check this out http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/05/200003-tundra-owners-may-be-eligible-for-frame-replacement.html

I think you have to go with a aftermarket tuner like sct to program the pcm for that ratio

Ford may increase 6.7L Power
Steve Mutter replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.7L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
right now I think fuel economy is what is going to sell these trucks not horsepower, they should just make the turck get better fuel economy then anyone eles and they will not have to get into a pissing match -

the pc/ed is now up as well, check this code out, P167f non-oem calibration detected I hope they put a tsb out like the one they have for the sho, that way we don't have to put are neck line for a job that might get kicked back -
just started to have a look at it,there is still cab off stuff but maybe only for engine removal

Steve Mutter replied to ponyboy's topic in 7.3L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
do you know why they replaced the fuel pick up? do you have fuel pressure when cranking? -
just an update, the truck came back, cooling system pressure went to 30 psi, thermostats pass, performed fan clutch ppt pass so went to remove the heads and inspect,I found a failed head gasket on two cylinder #5 and #4,the right side cylinder head had grove in the fire ring area as well, there is a new looking headgasket, gold in color and it has less layers, customer has put 2000 kms and he called back and said it is 100 % now,
