  1. I just got my first updated turbo for that p259f code and found out there are some more parts you will need to get. First off you will need the gasket and bolts that goes in between the turbo and the pedestal as the new turbo does not come as one, O-rings and bolts for the oil feed and coolant lines and you will need a new coolant line as they have re located how it bolts down on the turbo. Just got caught off guard as all the other turbos for 6.7 have been drop in and go. This one will have to get pushed out side as that coolant line is not stocked in Canada. The 2015 upper intake is a bit more of a pain in the ass and the v-band clamps are harder to get at IMO.
  2. I had a 2014 6.7 getting around 360 psi last time I did one.
  3. Matt what do you mean not hooked to each other, did they not have the cables hooked up on one batterie? Could you explain what you found, I had a quit look at one that is doing the same thing.
  4. It must be, I cleaned it up and will re inspect the truck later on. I am going to start an oil consumption test and see if this thing is really losing oil.
  5. I had a look at that and it is dry up top but wet on the bottom.
  6. I have 2010 e350 6.0 that has an small oil leak at #8 exhaust port. I removed the up pipes and inspected the manifold and found it dry. I ran the engine and found no smoke coming from either bank. Has anyone seen a leak like this, they are complaining about oil consumption but I can't find anything. Back side of turbo and egr cooler is dry as a bone as well. I don't know if that oil leak means anything, any thoughts?
  7. The tech working on the truck did when he put the long block in, he is very new to the diesel game . That engine in the picture has less then 500 kms on it.
  8. All reman's are junk right now it's seems, check out this 6.0 another tech had in the shop. It was a fresh reman, yeah right who passed this block
  9. So who pays for the 5w40 now? At the new model training they told us these engines or not to see synthetic oil till 60,000 km
  10. I just had a 2015 with p259f come in today, the truck already had 5w40 in it and the code still comes back. Will have to wait for the fix I guess.
  11. It just does not make any sense, what if you had a high-pressure oil leak and you crank the engine over five seconds. That's too bad about the quality of the ficm.
  12. To bad they don't run classes like that any more, I really enjoy going to them.
  13. No joke, this stuff is for real?
  14. Checked the tube and found it clear, going to do do some more looking tomorrow
  15. I have a 2009 f-350 that set p2453 p2463 p246c. I performed the pinpoint test for p2453 and it leads me to replace the dpf pressure sensor. The problem is I already replaced the pressure sensor last year for the same codes so I don't think I fixed the problem. The pinpoint test is not really good so I checked for wire chafes at the harness near the fuel cooler pump and checked the dpf sensor connector and pins, all look good. Has anyone seen any other chafe points or run into bad dpf sensors causing these issues.
  16. I have had two trucks now with p0100 and u0106. Both trucks had deleted scr's with all sensors removed from a diesel performance shop in town. If it's a 2013 and up it will fill the uncovered nox1 module with water causing it to short out and blow fuse 36 in the bjb. Just something to look for when working with a truck that has a deleted scr.
  17. I think the video you are talking about was in the new model training for the 2008 super duty.
  18. I just changed the last black cam sensor know to man in a 2003 e-450 7.3. I can't believe this sensor made it 11 years, thats some kind of record.
  19. Remove the oil filter cap when air testing, if you have air coming out the filter housing I would say your high pump is no good.
  20. Yes that job pays the shits for sure!!!!!!!
  21. I think the truck had around 160 000 kms on it. It had a Titan fuel tank in it, I agree it puts it at a bad angle causing it to crack at the base.
