YOUR RIGHT KEITH, SAME HERE. HAD AN OIL DISASTER AND ENDED UP EATING TIME JUST TO KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY. THERE SEEMS TO BE A FINE LINE BETWEEN FIXING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND KEEPING A CUSTOMER HAPPY FOR A RETURN VISIT. MyBE THE RIGHT WAY TO REPAIR OIL COOLER DISASTERS IS TO ORDER ALL NEW PARTS INCLUDING RADIATORS,ETC. THE 126 GAME KILLS A TECHNICIANS ABILITY TO REPAIR A VEHICLE PROPERLY.

i agree keith! i have an 08 built in feb and it has a slight fuel knock in the 2100 rpm range.no dtc's passed high pressure fuel test with flying colors.contact hotline and tell them my shrt term fuel for number 2 is +7 when others are -2,0,etc and they instructed me toi check for a backlash uissue with the hp pump and the knock could be the lash issue,ahahahaha. gotta love it. i anticipated better for the 6.4 too. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif

WOW BRINGS BACK SHARP PAINS. WE HAD A SERVICE TRUCK WITH THE SAME SENERIO.94.5 EEC4. WE HAD A TEST ECM FOR 95 TRUCK AND JUST SWAPPED IT AS NEEDED AND USED THE EEC5 CONNECTOR.THAT WAS BEFORE THE TSB KEITH POSTED. I HAVENT HAD THE PLEASURE OF UPDATING A CAL ON THOSE YET FOR THAT ISSUE.

WELL IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME 45 IS BARE MINIMUM.HOOK UP AND GET A INLET RESTRICTION RAEDING BEFORE THE PUMP.SHOULD BE 6" MAX.JUDGING BY YOUR READINGS BETTER OFF JUST PULLING THE TANK.I REMEMBER RUNNING THE FUEL PRESSURE DOWN TO 2 PSI ON A FEW.ONE ACTUALLY WENT TO NEGATIVE NUMBERS AND WAS STILL RUNNING! NEVER ACTUALLY UNDERSTOOD WHY IT WAS RUNNING. IT ACTUALLY RAN FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES OR SO.PULLED THE TANK AND FOUND MASS DESTRUCTION. -

HAD 2 LAST WEEK. THE INTAKE WAS SO CAKED IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN. SAME ISSUE. WEEK OLD EGR WEDGED OPEN WITH "CHUNK" BASICALLY BEEN CHANGING INTAKES AND TURBOS.

I HAD MANY ISSUES WITH AN IAT2 SCUMMED UP. ALLOT OF EGR ISSUES THATS FOR SURE. BELIEVE IT OR NOT BRAKE CLEAN WITH A STRAW IN THE NOZZLE WORKS BEST FOR ME. THESE GUYS AUTOMATICALLY CLEAN THE IAT2 WHEN EVER WORKING ON AN EGR ISSUE.KINDA LIKE INSURANCE. -
WE WERE SAYING THE SAME THING THIS WEEK AND KNOCKING ON WOOD TOO. AND IT DIDNT WORK KEITH! BRANCH TUBE,REAR COVER AND HEADACHE. WE USE WELCO THEIR 24.00 FOR THE GAS AND .35 CENTS PER DAY TANK RENTAL,OR 200.00 TO BUY TANK AND GAS WITH 24.00 FILL. TELL YOU WHAT I COULDNT BELIEVE THE DAMAGE THAT DAM BRANCH TUBE DID! WELL JUST AN FYI GUYS! EGR WAS BAD. THE VALVE WAS CLEAN AND PASSED THE EGR TEST. WHEN THE LOADED ENGINE FLUTTER CONCERN WAS PRESENT EGR VP WAS ALL OVER THE MAP. AFTER ROADTEST AND LUNCH SEE NEW BROADCAST MESSAGE FOR EGR REPLACEMENT FOR FLUTTER AND SURGE!HAHAHAA OH WELL. -

MIGHT BE OFF A LITTLE BIT, BUT WAS IN SCHOOL IN OHIO ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO.THE CLASS WAS DETROIT DIESEL REBUILD AND THE INSTRUCTER LOVED TO TURN THE BUFFER SCREW IN SO THE IDLE WAS HIGH AND WOULDN'T COME DOWN. WELL A GUY WHO PROBABLY WAS SKINNY WHEN HE WAS ABOUT 2 STARTED HIS AND IT RAN HIGH IDLE AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS A RUN AWAY AND PLOPPED HIS BIG ASS ONTO THE INTAKE TO "SMOTHER IT". WELL ABOUT ALL HE GOT WAS A BIG AZZZZ HICKEY ON HIS BIG AZZZZ. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cover.gif THE INSTRUCTOR ASKED HIM WHY IN THE HELL, HIS ANSWER WAS THE RAG ENGINE SHUTDOWN NEVER WORKED!

gotta love it! i had a mack that a new tech was doing a head job on.i seen it start up from the parts room and was saying wow thats an abnormal amount of smoke. Only difference was this know it all left the rags actually in the intake ports. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hitthefan.gif well somebody turned up the heat upstairs thats for sure. To mention it i think that was his last job.

ANY OF YOU GUYS EVER RUN INTO A TURBO FLUTTER SOUND ON LIGHT/MID WAY THROTTLE(ACCELERATION) WHILE DRIVING. TURBOCHARGER WAS REPLACED AT OTHER DEALER WITHIN LAST FEW WEEKS.PASSED EGR TEST,PASSED VISUAL OF EGR,ETC. HAPPENS WITH VGTDC AT 50PERCENT AND PRODUCING 15 PSI MGP.OTHER WISE ITS A BAT OUT OF HELL, CLEAN NO SMOKE EXCEPT WHEN FLUTTER ISSUE OCCURS. ICP GOOD AND IPR APPROPRIATE WHEN OCCURING.TURBO WAS REPLACED AT OTHER DEALER FOR LOW POWER AND BLACK SMOKE. WHAT I DID NOTICE IS WHEN FLUTER OCCURS EGR READINGS GET REAL ERRATIC.DEALER ALSO REPLACED VGT SOL. TOO TRUCKS A 04 F550. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!

I AGREE GUYS. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A PROGRAMMING UPDATE SOMEWHERE THAT ENGINEERING MADE TO NOT TRIP THE ICP DTC'S AS EASY. 7.3 DAYS YOU WOULD KNOW PRETTY QUICK. THESE DAYS ALMOST EVERY ICP ISSUE DOESN'T FLAG. I'VE BEEN SEEING ALLOT OF BIAS ISSUES TOO. I HAVE ONE HERE WITH A 330 PSI ICP WHEN HOT and ipr at 16 percent. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif

CHECK EBAY. THERES A GUYS SELLING NEW IN BOX LAPTOPS CHEAP. WE HAVE 2 IDS SET UPS, ONE IS THE FULL ROTUNDA DEAL, THE OTHERS A HP OFF EBAY WITH A MAGIC TOUCH ADDON LAPTOP TOUCH SCREEN. TELL YOU THE TRUCH THE HP IS LARGER AND EASIER TO READ THAN THE TOUGH BOOK. PUT IT TOGETHER WITHOUT VCM FOR 900.00 I GET LESS TESTMAN ERRORS WITH THAT DAM HP THAN THE TOUGHBOOK THEY ORDERED.
