  6. i had quite a few that it took at least 15-30 minutes of air test till the oil was purged from the leak. i found the hp pump leak sounded louder on the passenger side also. one things for sure the tests worked everytime for me. i wouldn't ask that guy who told you that for any help any more,hahaha he seems like service manager material thats for sure!
  7. HAD ONE WITH A HP PUMP SHAFT LEAKING WHEN HOT ONLY.WHEN COOLED SEALED ENOUGH TO START AND RUN WITH A SLIGHT LOWW OF POWER. A LITTLE TOUGH TO FIND BUT WAS HP PUMP. DID YOU TRY AIR TEST FOR 30MIN- 1 HOUR COMPARISON. A SURE BET

  9. I BELIEVE THE AIR LINE FOR THE BIG TRUCK TRANSMISSION SHIFTERS IS THE SAME SIZE. JUST THEIR NOT SE THROUGH. TRY HOME DEPOT
  10. FOUND OUT SAME ISSUE. TELL YOU THE TRUTH WE USE A TRANSDUCER THAT PLUGS INTO A REGULAR FLUKE METER. HAS A SWITCH FOR BOTH INHG AND PSI UP TO 500 I THINK. WE BOUGHT IT THROUGH CUMMINS PART NUMBER 3164491. HAS LONG WIRE TO TRANSDUCER,WORKS GREAT FOR ROADTESTS.GUARANTEE YOULL NEVER USE THAT FRIGGEN MONSTER GAUGE AGIAN.

  12. yup had same deal bruce.p0611 had test ficm,used as built, but had to force it with the 045??? code. works every time as a great test module. just check with parts dept on part numbers. believe theres a cut off on the 2 modules.

  14. yup few times,mostly the big truck tires. your right it sounds like a bomb went off. we even had one fly across the yard about 30 feet.tire tech was picking his sh*t off the wall for weeks

  18. YUO ID SAY IN AREA OF HP PUMP. I USE ONE OF THOSE BATTERY POWERED LISTENING MICROPHONE/HEADPHONE KITS FROM STEELMAN. SEEMS TO WORK VRY WELL. FUNNY THING ONE TRUCK I HAD A HIGH PRESSURE PUMP LEAKING OUT OF THE DRIVE GEAR SHAFT AS PROBLEM,ENDED UP GETING A PUMP. IF I REMEMBER RIGHT IS SOUNDED LIKE THE AIR LEAK WAS "DEEP" IN THE ENGINE.
  19. WELL FINALLY GOT THE NEW DPF INSTALLED AND RESET THE DPF WITH IDS. MPG WENT WAY WAY DOWN FROM THE FAILED DPF. WAS ABOUT 23 MPG HIGHWAY, NOW BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL 11 MPG /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crybaby2.gif I LIKED THE OLD DPF BETTER,SMOKE AND ALL. JOB WASN'T TOO BAD AND YOU CANT SEE ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE,JUST SOOT IN THE OUTLET.
