  1. Hey did you guys see the new FSA letter going out about the 200 hour oil change?
  2. Well think "it all she wrote" gerotor mashed by metal, front cover destroyed. Looks like the classic 6.0 curse. Strained the oil with a paint strainer and found pieces present. Only problem its a 180,000 mile failure. Get this never had a warrantable repair. It actually made 185,000! Friggen engineering marvel.
  3. Just another dumb question, but had a 2005 f250 fail an ipr twice in 80 miles by having the screen nailed.Replace ipr and she starts and runs great. Any ideas where debris large enough to nail the ipr 2 times? Oil clean,un rolled oil filter and found clean. Thinking HP pump. thanks guys
  4. oiiveyyy, urea. Heard the same thing from the cummins rep. Only problem i see is how do you get customers in for the urea refill, when they wont even come in for the 200 hour oil and filter? Anybody have any pictures of this engine yet?
  5. i like the key idea fred. What they need is a button to tilt the cab, man ill take that any day.
  6. did one today, can you say tighter than a crabs ass! orings were like a petrified logs
  7. kridd, same exact issue here. Glowplug obliterated and exhaust valve melted to hell. The one i had actually had cylinder damage and prior gave 6007 drop in bomb. Amazing they can tell you the exact cylinder the bad injectors they want replaced, but cant give you an answer on how to keep these from "exploding"
  8. Just a weird question, did any of you guys ever run into a "wet" egr cooler that passed the off truck pressure test but failed on the truck pressurizing the coolant? Had one this week and seemed very odd. Cooler passed vac step of TSB, passed in water tank, but when pressurizing cooling system leaked on the exhaust side like a sieve.
  9. Maybe theres an underlying issue, like the engine oil cooler failing and overtemping the oil????
  10. I cant believe it myself. Thought they were bullet proof. Kinda makes you think differently about the old 7.3. Whats your actual time on pulling a type 3 ambulance like you have in your pictures?
  11. WELL MAYBE A "COMBINED EFFORT" BETWEEN 18 TECHS AND FEW YEARS.
  12. Think the labor op for compression check on an Econoline is 6007- r&r the motor. Think we were the forgotten end of the engineering equation when they designed this engine in an Econoline.
  13. Have been seeing allot of them lately, like 3 in last week alone. All with lack of heat complaints, and pressurizing the degas bottle to high hell. Oh had to edit this forgot to say "your out of your f!*&n mind pulling an Econoline body. I cant see how its faster than pulling it from the front. Pulled about 300 of those 6.0's out the front and never wanted to pull a body, especially on an ambulance.
  14. EAST TRY 610 709-3030. THATS THE MACK TRUCKS "SPECS" DEPARTMENT AT THE ALLENTOWN HEADQUARTERS.THEY KEEP ALL THE BUILD RECORDS FOR THEIR TRUCKS.MIGHT GET LUCKY AND HAVE AN OLD BAST@!D STILL THERE. ANTHONY

  16. HEY DWAYNE, JUST CURIOUS IF YOUR WIRELESS IS STILL WORKING? FINALLY GOING TO TRY THAT OUT. THANKS FOR THE POST!
  17. wow, very impressive! guess thats their answer to the UAW. Been f'ing up the friggen country all those years. Too bad we could never operate a plant like that here without a picket line.
  18. any of you guys ever run into an explanation why these 6.4's are blasting holes in the block by cylinder 8 and/or cylinder 2?
  19. SNW HAD SAME ISSUE ON TRUCK WITH 15,000 MILES AND 4800 HOURS. WAS POURING COOLANT OUT OF EXAUST,PULLED UN TESTED BOTH COOLERS, NO PROBLEM, COLD LINE HAD ME PULL ALL GLOW PLUGS OUT AND CRANK ENGINE. NO COOLANT EXPELLED.REASSEMBLED ALL AND TRUCK NEVER LEAKED AGAIN. OIL HAD COOLANT IN BOTTOM. BEEN IN SERVICE FOR 10,000 MORE MILES NEVER HAPPEND AGAIN. WELCOME TO THE TWILLIGHT FRIGGEN ZONE.
  20. i see allot of them missing parts of the screens. Been replacing them all.
  21. now making the whole dam cab tilt would of been my vote.
  22. oh boy, smells like trouble! guess hes atatching himself to you as his new best buddy? ( best diesel certified new buddy)
