DAM NOW THERE CUTTING OUT THE SUMMER "GIRL CHECKING OUT " ROADTEST. WTF IS NEXT? -
DITTO HERE. BEEN REPLACING MORE OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS THAN EVER BEFORE.
-
Dam they make it sound so easy on paper! Any of you guys see this on an 08 yet?
-
yup their at the brunt of the fire. They get it when its hot before it gets downstairs to the tech. Dealer employees are a "Crew" or team. If everybody does their job to help the dealership we all look good. Maybe thats why some dealers hire them dam cute office girls????

i agree. Trama room 1 please. I've been working on ambulances for 18 years and 6 out of 10 repairs involve touching or moving modified wiring, etc. Warranty is warranty and the customers not going to pay for it thats for sure. I feel a fair 1 hour to r&r wiring . If you have to take more time than that i think you better let your service manager know! Easterns right! the lights or somethings guaranteed not to work your first time. Better have somebody check that the lights your going touch work or not before you touch that bastard, or else you'll be caught up in you fried my led lamp syndrome. Lost good customers to that crap!

yup busted, we had same idea few years ago on a fleet ambulance we knew for sure we would be working on. what worked for us was buying the caterpiller engine connector kit. came with crimper and selection of 1 way to 12 way weatherproof connectors, pins, etc. kinda of pricy though. if you want i can get you the part number on monday. Another way is Lawson hardware. They have individual connectors, but remember you need the connector tool. Believe its about $280.00.

ahahah your right Jim! friggen amazing how they can accumulate the hours. Hotline downed the truck today stating do not release until further notice from the regen engineers! maybe its the rubber cab floor melting that did it for them. I was driving the unit today and it went into regen within the 25 minute roadtest. I was able to capture a regen snapshot and uploaded to hotline.Tell you what ithe heat coming from under the hood is massive, more than comparable units I think this truck has a few issues, one being the massive idle time which is the customers problem but i think Ford didn't account for the heavy idling applications in their regeneration system. I think this truck needs a new particulate filter and a new strategy. Maybe a replacement mileage or hour spec, who knows. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/flamethrower.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ford.gif

yup i didnt see anything wrong with this one here either. Dam pain in the ass to get out and see it looks ok. gotta tell you, its not going to fix it! Alex did your customer complain of the truck regenning allot? This truck from what their saying regens allot, under hood temps are very hot. This truck is an ambulance with 15,000 miles and a crazy 3900 hours. Sister truck has over 4,000 hours and no issues. Hotline wants the EBP, EBP tube and shapshot uploads. When i roadtest the truck runs great, and no regen for me.

Next i hear the phone promps will change. PRESS 1 FOR EGR COOLERS PRESS 2 FOR OIL COOLERS PRESS 3 FOR AN EGR/OIL COOLER COMBO MEAL PRESS 5 FOR HP PUMPS PRESS 5 FOR CHAINSAW ACCIDENT TRYING TO CUT TIME REPAIRING VEHICLE BECAUSE YOUR LISTENING TO THIS BULLSHIT MESSAGE. OH THEN THE SURVEY COMES. NO WONDER WHY INTERNATIONAL HAD THAT GUY SHOOTING UP THE DAM FACTORY YEARS AGO.
-
Well aparently recomendation by hotline to replace the DOC on this truck was incorrect. Truck back with melted EBP,shorted VREF from the smelting accident. Got callback for EBP and tube, verified fleet using Ultra Low Sulfer Diesel. EGT's even and normal temps, all the same. Any of you guys running into these wonderful issues.

6.0L Losing sync at lower rpm
OHNO60 replied to Mekanik's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
had same issue with an ambulance one time. Weird thing it was the egr valve stuck way open. Dont know why it didn't flag a egr dtc. was doing same exact thing. As a matter of fact the sync dropped just before it stalled also. Gave me a run thats for sure. Quiet as a gasoline engine too. -
Isn't that the American automaker rule of thumb? Do as little engineering as possible, charge as much as possible, advertise a hell of allot and f-you after you paid for it. Math doesn't add up- 15 quarts every 200 hours or 5k????? i think this dam regen shit is for the birds. Let it be an hour procedure at oil change and make it a "manual" regen.

2008 6.4L Stalled/No Start
OHNO60 replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.4L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
had same issue after high pressure pump replacement. Ended up trying a recalibration and it started. Thought that was a little weird. -
not bad! .3 to enter oasis, get contact id,call 800 number, finally get an engineer and have him say shit do what you said you thought you were going to do. According to my calculations, we got beat out of another .5. I think Prior approvals should be left to engine, trans concerns only. Who the f&%@ wants to call in a friggen egr cooler. You already know its bad the day it rolls out of the dealer brand new. Hey everybody have a good weekend!

OHNO60 replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.4L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
im wondering if she has a 19 year old sister! or mother at that. not too picky these days -
bet that beotch will have an intermittent stall, or should i say the famous p1217,1216 circle jerk. Especially for the guys running a linear amplifier or motorola 2 way with the antenna and frequency just right.
