  4. SAME DEAL HERE! 2006 E350 POPPING OUT OF AIR CLEANER.POWER BALANCE PASSED,KOER,KOEO ALL PASSED. REMOVED INTAKE MANIFOLD AND STARTED ENGINE.FOUND LIFTER DAMAGED. ENDED UP REPLACING BLOCK.
  5. WELL TRUTH COMES OUT!TECH FORGOT TO ADD THAT DETAIL TO HIS SHOP TICKET. OIL LEVEL WAS OVERFILLED BY ABOUT 4 QUARTS.THE OVERFILLING ACTUALLY CAUSED THE VIBRATION AND NUMBER 1 CYLINDER TO GO TO +10 ON THE SHRT TERM FUEL.DRAINED OIL AND WALLAH VIBRATION GONE AND SHORT TERM BACK TO NORMAL.ENDED UP FILLING UP WITH FUEL AND TAKING A HIGH PRESSURE PUMP.     DO ANY OF YOU GUYS REMEMBER HOW TO DETERMINE WHATS A PI AND NOT A PI HEAD ON A 5.4? THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!
  8. THE MILEAGE DEFINITLY GOES UP.IVE SEEN AS HIGH AS 24 MPG ON HIGHWAY FOR ABOUT 5 HOURS OF DRIVING. AS FAR AS YOU 4.88 F450, 7-8 IS ABOUT WHAT I'VE BEEN SEEING.AFTER ALL WHAT DO THEY EXPECT FROM A DUAL WHEEL TRUCK? THAT TRUCK HAS THE ROLLING RESISTANCE OF A SHERMAN TANK!
  9. HAD A PUMP CRAP OUT LAST WEEK. ENDED UP FILLING THE CRANK CASE AND REPEADIDLY FAILING THE HP TEST WHEN WARM.AND IT WAS REPLACED 6 MONTHS AGO FOR FAILURE TOO. LOTS OF ENGINEERING SHOWING ITS FACE ON THIS 6.4!
  10. THERE IS ACTUALLY A WAY TO HAVE BOTH CONNECTED. ITS BY CONFIGURING THE VCM FOR ROUTER CONNECTION INSTEAD OF ADHOC.IT USES THE WIRELESS SHOP ROUTER THEN BOUNCES IT BACK TO IDS. ONLY PROBLEM IS WHEN YOU DRIVE AWAY FROM SHOP YOU LOSE VCM CONNECTION.WE HAVE IT CONFIGURED FOR AD-HOC( VCM TO IDS CONNECTION. ONLY ISSUE IS NO INTERNET UNTIL YOU SWITCH FROM VCM CONNECTION TO WIRELESS SHOP ROUTER.PROBLEM- IF YOU NEED TO GO TO THE INTERNET FOR A LATE CONFIGURATION YOU'LL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT AND MANUALLY ADD IT TO THE IDS FILES THENSWITCH BACK TO RECAL???????

  12. ONLY ISSUE IS YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE INTERNET OR WIRELESS VCM. WHEN BOTH CONNECTIONS ARE ON AUTOMATIC IT CONFLICTS AND DISCONNECTS FROM THE WIRELESS VCM.

  14. yes we swapped high cylinder 1 with 3 injector.same cylinder 1 is 10+. very odd, vibration analyzer plotted it as a 4th order vibration-crqank,balancer etc.i understand the theory,but why's cylinder 1 so high ans all cylinder balance,etc great?

  16. no oil levels normal.Interesting about the torque converter nuts though,hahha. Im going to hook up the EVA like the hotline suggested.They want me to identify if its a first or forth order vibration. maybe swap 1 and 3 injectors to see if it moves.The engineers are dead sure the ids software can identify a cylinder issue,haha. WELL I PULLED THE BELT YESTERDAY AND HAD NO CHANGE.WHAT ERKS ME IS FRONT CRANK SEAL LEAKING AND BALANCER IS OK,SHORT TERM FUEL FOR CYLINDER 1 IS +10 ALL THE REST ARE NORMAL.PASSES POWER BALANCE,EVEN PASSES ENHANCED POWER BALANCE.HOTLINE SAID PERFORM COMPRESSION TEST,WELL ALL PASSED ON THAT BANK ESPECIALLY #1 CYLINDER.RELATIVE COMPRESSION ALL 0. BRUCE DO YOU KNOW THE GOOD/BAD SPEC FOR SHORTTERM FUEL? I ASKED HOTLINE ABOUT ANY CRANKSHAFT ISSUES BEING FRONT CRANK SEAL LEAKING AND CYL #1 SO HIGH. ONE ENGINEER SAYS NO GOOD ON SHRT TERM FUEL BEING 10 OTHER SAYS OH WELL ITS PASSING ALL TESTING MUST BE ANOTHER SOURCE???? THE ENGINE STARTS AND SHORTTERM #1 IS AT 3.AS IT WARMS UP WE HIT 10. HOW CAN THAT BE GOOD?
  19. IVE SEEN A TON WITH TANK FAILURES YIELDING TANK REPLACEMENTS,SENDERS,FLUSHING ON 7.3 EQUIPTED TRUCKS.BUT HONESTLY NEVER AN INJECTOR FAILURE FROM IT. THE FAILURES I SEE ALLOT ARE HP PRESSURE SIDE CONSTANTLY LEAKING FROM SPILL PORT DURING AIR TEST. NOW THE 6.0'S WE SEEN YOUR LIGHTING THE FUSE WHEN A FUEL RESTRICTION IS FOUND.THOSE INJECTORS YOU CANT HANDLE LOW FUEL.

I DONT QUITE KNOW HOW U GUYS FEEL BUT WE TRIED THE WIRELESS ON ONE OF OUR IDS'S AND THE GUYS LOVE IT.ONLY THING I FIND IS IT USES THE WIRELESS ANTENNA IN THE TOUGHBOOK SO ITS EITHER IDS WIRELESS IN USE OR YOUR SHOP INTERNET CONNECTION. WE ALSO FOUND THAT THE WIRELESS SETTING FOR THE IDS WIRELESS HAS TO BE AUTOMATIC AND ON DEMAND OR MANUALLY SELECT THE ROUTER FOR THE INTERNET OR WHILE YOUR DRIVING DOWN THE STREET IT JUMPS OUT OF IDS WIRELESS AND INTO SOMEBODY ELSES WIRELESS ROUTER.THE RANGE FROM IDS TO VCM IS GREAT AND WORKS FINE WHILE PROGRAMMING MODULES. JUST AN FYI!
  22. HAS A CHART FOR HOW MANY BAGS OR BAG SIZE TO USE.YOU SEAT BEAD AND ADD ABOUT 25-50 PSI THEN PUT PUWDER IN AN INJECTOR TUBE THAT HAS AIR CHUCK ON ONE END AND AIR LINE HOOK UP ON THE OTHER. THEN JUST INFLATE TIRE TO FULL PSI.DONE. THE POWDER SPINS ON THE INNER CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE TIRE WHEN SPINNING DOWN THE ROAD.BALANCED.CHECK THE LINK BELOW.
