  8. Is there a document somewhere that defines all the abbreviations used in the EVTM? BOO, CTO, etc.? A friend and I are working on a project together and he would like to know what the abbreviations are in our wiring diagrams we're using, and he doesn't want to keep asking me every time we come across a different one. I checked in the EVTM and WSM but didn't see anything, Any help would be appreciated.

  12. If the EGR cooler ain't totally fucked I flush them first so the junk it frees up during the flush doesn't plug the new cooler.
  13. The one I had, I couldn't tweak the pipe. It was almost like it was bent in two spots. It hit the pedestal and was probably 3/4 of an inch away from the coolant port on the oil cooler.
  14. I agree. The only upside is it comes with a gasket set and no core. So I have amassed quite the pile of cores.
  15. For those keeping score at home, high sulfur trucks when you enter the VIN and double click it at the top left of oasis it will show the tear tag but it shows a 50 state calibration. It is to my understanding the export calibration is loaded after the fact. It's a real pain in the groin area to find, but I did some IDS disassembly and found all the export tags for 6.4 and 6.7 and they are definitely not the tags that are on oasis for any of the export vins that I have located online.
  16. The shop I'm at likes using Dorman stuff. I put an EGR cooler on last week, and ended up needing two kits to make even one work. And the first cooler had the coolant tube welded on incorrectly and wouldn't align with the oil cooler whatsoever. Then first kit had no gaskets and the improperly welded cooler, the second kit was missing the hose and bolts. Overall the welding is a lot prettier than the ford cooler but if the tube doesn't line up its kind of a moot point. Anyone else have these issues?
  17. I do also, just curious as to how the work is likely being charged out. Does R & R intake gaskets on an F still pay like 8 hours in Mitchell? That's something I never understood because the EGR cooler pays less than he intake gasket replacement.
