As a disclaimer, the stuff I am talking about is GT500 mustang and the products being used are emission compliant and retain all of the factory smog equipment, with the exception of replacement catalytic converters since the factory exhaust gets replaced. But they are compliant.
Except for the Shelby 1000 but it is marketed as an off road vehicle only. Never built one of those though.
You will likely need to blank path program the PCM. Sometimes doing a PMI doesn't work.
Hotline can give you the rundown on how to do it. It basically involves trying to identify the car with the key off until IDS prompts you to enter the tear tag (which can be found either on the PCM or on oasis by double clicking the vin in the top left corner of the screen)
Once you have the session identified then perform your PMI, leaving the key off until after it says "install a new module in vehicle". Key the car on when prompted and it will blank path the module. After that you will need an active internet connection as the IDS will then download and configure asbuilt data for the PCM.
You will likely also be prompted to enter the vin during this process as well.
Hope this helps.
I just put a jasper reman in an ambulance to replace another jasper reman that didn't make any high pressure oil.
Glow plug codes within 600mi on "new" glow plugs.
I can give you a rundown of its last few seconds:
"Rrrrrringgggg.... Clatter clunk clink clunk clunk clunk ker-fuckin-blooie!"
"Rattle....rattle....tink!"
So they're using the cheapest shit gaskets they can get and they are not oil compatible.
The set that comes with the Dorman EGR cooler is not real nice either.
I just (October) moved to a real stress free job, and all the things you said about no sleep etc are gone and I get along with everyone at my workplace awesome. Sometimes a change is good.
FWIW, the Ford version of the EGR delete does not cap off the coolant ports, it re routes them. I looked up all the "high sulfur" parts in the catalog one day when I was bored at work.
I have seen a few with EGR delete and both coolant passages are capped.
Had a v10 gas econoline when I moved out west. Maximum of 60mph with my foot on the boards, (not governed just out of horsepower) and 6mpg.
Way home was 6.4 diesel, 14mpg at 70-80mph with LOTS left in it.
