  1. Check the MAP PID KOEO and again running and see what it is, I had one similar to this in the spring.... let me know what you find.
  2. Then hand it off to Dave cuz he can fix anything , being the most qualified guy in the shop
  3. Well #7 shouldn't be a problem, but #3 might be a challenge or is it #5.... it's been awhile since I did an E series. I've found it easier to simply unbolt the solenoid and swap put the injector and reattach the new solenoid on what ever cylinder you can't get the damn thing out of... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/2cents.gif
  4. What I wanna know is ... whats with the 2 HPOP's in the second picture?
  5. IPR @ 14% cranking? are you sure? and whats the ICP at exactly?
  6. Good thing Ford doesn't know about that gauge or they would modify it and say none of the bolts have to be changed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/flamethrower.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ford.gif
  7. I second that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rofl.gif
  8. I've had and seen the same thing happen a few times now, nice ain't it.
  9. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rofl.gif Yeah what Aaron posted is exactly whats been going on around our place.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif
  10. Mike have you gotten anywhere with this one yet? I'm real curious to hear what you find after my little injector adventure.
  11. If it's broke the cover I'd be changing it, I've only had one that bad and I didn't want to risk it so I replaced it and the cover.
  12. Jim I'm in the same boat you're in and loosing the battle on a daily basis, our "most qualified" tech is usually the root of most of my headaches and behind him we have a "drivability" tech that if left alone will drive a non-drinker like myself to the bar. Like you've said in the past most techs out there will not spend a second of time on reading the manual, owners or repair to try to understand how things are actually supposed to work before attempting a repair. And by the time I see whats going on it's a huge clusterfuck of parts that have been hung for no good reason other then lack of understanding. I think thats I'll I have to add for now but I'm sure I'll think of more as I sit here pondering the days events /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif
  13. Same as Joey, fuel line tools or a couple small screwdrivers will do in a pinch.
  14. Mike, all I can say in this situation is do what you feel is the right thing to do and hope for the best. Again that's just my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/2cents.gif
  15. As with the rest of the guys here, done about 6 of these in E-series and all of them had harness issues, usually the codes you have listed and maybe more. If it comes back check the trans harness at the back of the engine for damage, more then likely it'll be cut on the insulation.
  16. Everyone of the replies you've gotten so far has been right on the money, follow the TSB right down to the letter and be sure to check the EOT and ECT when finished. I just had one that oil cooler passed with the Radkit Plus but failed with a 40F difference in temps. BTW welcome aboard Rob.
  17. My all time favorites - 1) My trucks lug nuts require more torque then your ricer can make. 2) It's not that I'm old, your music really does suck.
  18. I tell ya after the last week of fixin these contraptions I'm starting to think the ol' Captain should be a new friend in the making... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
  19. Looks like the winner here was eastendpowerstroke, nailed it with the bad fuel. I have no idea whats in that tank but it ain't diesel fuel thats for sure, it kinda looks like gas and smells like turpintine..... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif
  20. I'll be one of the guys thats telling you to " go for it " just for the main fact of I hate when people say it can't be done /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif
  21. I think thats awesome, and after looking at the build pics it looks like these guys do a really nice job.
  22. I'm glad you brought that up because I read that as well, from that moment on I stopped buying that magazine.
  23. I never made it to look at that truck tonight but I did just change the filters before he left, but thanks for the tip as you never know what he may have got at one of those road side fuel stops.
  24. I retested the old FICM on another truck and it still failed giving me the same codes, as far as the fuel pressure goes thatsthe next thing that was one my list but I didn't have my gauge with me at the time. I'll be heading over after work to look at the truck some more so I'll post the findings as I go.
