Thanks Alex, I just happen to have one laying on the bench. Guess I'll keep it around now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif

This will make things interesting not to mention almost impossible to get the new style valves, we can't even get the older ones /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hahaha.gif

I think he meant the 6.5L, and Larry when you find out the numbers let me know what you want for a harness /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif

Hybrid Fed-ex E450 stripped chasis, stalls.
Shlep replied to Tony302600's topic in All Gasoline Engines
I took a look at the web sites and was surprised to see they're just down the road from the training center in Missassauga, I'll be wandering over there next time I'm at school because this thing kinda has my interest peaked /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif -
Glad I wasn't the only one mislead by the title /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

This is one of those careful what you wish for type things, I work in a union shop and I hate it with a passion. Myself, like you, have strong work ethics, customer satisfaction is top concern but many out there will agree that others don't feel the same way and the union thing will be taken advantage of faster then you can blink an eye. Granted the benefits are better but thats all I can say for the BS that you'll have to deal with. Just my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/2cents.gif and I'm sure you'll find others that agree.

frozen wheels on hubs
Shlep replied to Brad Clayton's topic in Driveline: Transmissions, Clutches and Axles
For steel wheels the air hammer always works, for the others I find you have to pour really hot water on them and they almost fall off. -
2000 Focus 2.0L Zetec Auto weird symptoms
Shlep replied to mchan68's topic in Body, Chassis and Electrical
Sounds like you got yourself a Focus with bad battery cables, I had one with similar problems last fall and it drove me crazy trying to find the problem, did the ground routine with no luck so I called the hotline to see if anything else was common on these POS's and he told me to change out both cables, much to my surprise it actually fixed it. -
That was just introduced to us this past week at trans service class, well worth the download. Thanks for posting it Jim.

Turbocharger Inlet Pipes
Shlep replied to Keith Browning's topic in 6.4L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Great.......... just what I didn't need to hear, well I guess those old sockets will be getting replaced in the up coming weeks then. Thanks for the heads up Keith. -
I had a customer out in the old store I worked at that had a 91 F series with a Banks Turbo package on it with the rest of it being 100% stock, last I talked to him it was still running like a champ with over 400,000 miles on the clock. BTW he does work it pretty hard towing horses from the southern states to the Windsor area.

A couple years back I suffered a chemical reaction to something in the Motorcraft line of products, for the life of me and the Dr's no one can identify what exactly caused it but the pain and swelling cost me weeks off work with no income due to fact is the owner denied any possible way that it was work related, so after that I wore gloves almost always, that is until I moved to another Ford store that is much cleaner, soon after that my hands completely cleared up. I don't wear the gloves nearly as much as I should but I think maybe I'll start making it routine once again just to be sure it won't happen again.

I just got mine in last week but haven't had the chance to play with it yet, hopefully in the next day or so I'll have time and if I do I'll let you all know how it works....

Horror stories about Vista??? I'm probably the only guy out there who enjoys Vista by the looks of things, mind you it took a while to tweak it just right but now that I did it runs fantastic..... as for running older software, forget it. I did some updating to pretty much everything except Office (I have 2003) which runs great on Vista..... as for the Mac, I was just at Best Buy playing with one and I really liked what I saw, maybe it's time to grab one of those puppies and see whats under the hood /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I know you could count Aaron and I in, and a couple guys from the other Ford stores around the area.

Trust me the thought has crossed my mind on an occasion or two, if I could swing it with the boss I'd be interested in a couple of your courses. Maybe we'll just see what he's got to say... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cover.gif One more thing, I need something OBDI as well, seeing as I'm the only one who will work on the older stuff /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif

Ok now I have a question for Jim and you too Bruce, I'm looking at the Genisys and I'm more concerned with the coverage of GM and Chrysler then I am with Ford (I have my own VCM) I got sucked into Matco's Pro Scan Plus under the influence that it would communicate with my GM 6.5, make a long story short... it doesn't do what I want it to do with the 6.5, and because I tend to work on everything that comes in the door I'm looking for something thats up to the task.

fire ring head gasket kit
Shlep replied to dieselman456's topic in 6.0L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
I wouldn't advise throwing stock gaskets back on there, just think of it this way.... now you have less material to make contact with. I would however find out where they got the gaskets in the first place and order another set. Any reman tags on this thing? -

No just you, I'll do an E-series over an F any day, as for the bracket being broke I had a rash of E's in the fall and I never had any of them with it broken, maybe it's something thats just starting to happen /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif -
Oil all time high...
Shlep replied to LARRY BRUDZYNSKI's topic in Fuels - Oils - Additives - Chemicals
3.03 still isn't bad, around here in Windsor it varies from 1.08 - 1.26 a litre (4.32- 5.04 US Gal) I recently turned down a very good offer from another store just because the amount of driving and the cost of fuel out weighed the extra pay they were offering. -
Thats a hell of a good idea, I've got a couple batteries sitting there doing nothing as well, guess it's time to find another inverter and wire those babies up. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif
