  1. I've been thinking the same thing, even contacted the instructors with not much luck so far, but Cummins advised me to contact the head office in order to enroll in a course when they become available.
  2. While I'd be hard pressed to call it an epidemic, firstly because I've never actually seen one and secondly out of how many of these things are on the road 700 is a really small percentage. Now with that said I'd do a cost compare of the most effective repair including labor and warn your DP that you may not find all the missing pieces unless you tear the engine completely down. If I were doing the job a short block would probably be the way I'd go with it though.
  3. Last one I had like that had 20 000kms(13000 miles)over the next oil change interval, and it was an OEM filter.
  4. 09 Escape with 1 bad injector 08 F250 with a leaking rad and a CAC full of water 06 F250 with coolant contaminated with something thats turned the premium gold to a nice rust looking mixture 09 Sprt trac with a persistant low tire light concern And I know they'll be more dumped in my lap tomorrow......
  5. Well I have limited hands on with the LCF but if it loses that much pressure in 20mins I'd think you have a fair sized leak on your hands. If nothing externally, you could drop the oil and pressure it up and see if you have anything out the drain plug. At least that way you'll have an idea where to go after that.
  6. I can vouch for Larry on that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif and everywhere I've ever worked it's been cost +10 as well
  7. Happy holidays everyone, may Santa spoil all of you rotten /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif
  8. I've got one and the LED one isn't that great, flouresent is much brighter and the bulb is available at most hardware stores.
  9. Hey Happy Birthday there Keith, and many more /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif
  10. I swear I know that guy from back home.... even the last name is right....and IIRC he never did finish his apprenticeship requirements /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif
  11. Also watch your icp very closely, I had an 06 tow truck doing the same thing and found the icp would glitch every now and again causing it to stall.
  12. LMAO .....the thought DID cross my mind but he knows that his job is waiting for him when he gets back with no strings attached /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
  13. Thats good to know Larry, I just installed 2 injectors just for that reason.
  14. Seems to be a disturbing trend, We just lost a local one just outside of town, and they'd been open for 4 decades under the Miller name.
  15. I'll be giving it a try monday with the 6.0 I just finished the head gaskets on today, from what the hotline says it's supposed to be pretty powerful stuff. The 3 gals of simply green really makes me wonder tho /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif
  16. http://www.fordtechservice.dealerconnection.com/vdirs/subsites/diag/reFICM.asp Give that a try /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
  17. From what I hear the first ones aren't supposed to be but they'll start showing up soon, but who knows the way things change.
  18. Looks to be roughly based on the 4.6/5.4 but thats just a guess.
  19. Good point but on the other hand ... new engines generally mean new problems, which is always something to look forward to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
  20. Well Dustin here's what I get from reading your recordings, you have an EBP of 47.99PSI and EGR duty cycle of 54% and hardly any boost with fuel being cut back, so here's what I'd do if I were you. Start from scratch, barring the fact is you're pretty sure the exhaust isn't plugged, you must have something causing that kind of EBP pressure and that only leaves the turbo and the pipes to the heads.
  21. Great....... I can just see the power adders already figuring out ways to screw this one up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cover.gif
  22. I'd be willing to bet that setup fits late 99-03 models depending on what turbo's on it.
