  1. Keith, I have a very similar concern on my hands right now. 2004 e450 with icp on the side and a cast cover. This one is a no start, low icp codes. I have no low side oil pressure, took the filter off and no oil flow out of the housing while cranking. Removed the low pressure pump, pump cover and front cover show no wear, pump looks good, low oil pressure regulator moves freely in the bore. I am wondering if I have a oil pickup tube problem or if the oil cooler is plugged. The oil filter comes after oil cooler according to the oil flow diagram.. also should I have any oil flow coming out of the low oil pressure regulator while it removed? any ideas would be appreciated. Also, Keith, I have seen the missing ball on the HPOP to cause low side oil pressure light to flicker on while it was running with a severe lack of power.
  2. upon closer inspection I found oil everywhere, even the wastegate actuator is full!!! this one is getting a complete system replacement!@! thanks guys!!
  3. I got here a 6.7 with no brakes, I found that the brake booster failed. once I started ripping it apart I found oil throughout the vacuum system, all the lines are just full, the vacuum can is full as well, the only possible place for that oil to come from that I think is a failed vacuum pump. Has anyone seen this yet??
  4. I did not check the hoses with a temp gun, they do feel too cool to the touch.. it was a customer supplied aftermarket t-stat..
  5. It is -20C here... i have ect 55C and eot @75C at idle.. and ect@61C while eot@83C when driving.
  6. I have a 2007 f250 with no heat concern. Some heat while idling but very little while driving. The engine does not seem to heat up at all.. It has a new t-stat. I also just pulled the water pump to see if the impeller was broken.. its ok.. I noticed some rubbing marks on the front cover and the pump.. but other than that nothing obvious. i think i also see a little bit of cavitation, but i dont have a new cover here to compare it to.. any advice would be appreciated.
  7. I have a 2002 f350 with a lack of power and mil on, codes p1209 and p1211. Hot idle ipr 11%, icp at 489 psi, WOT under load ipr 65% icp at 400-800 (varies).. ppt directs to replace ipr, changed engine oil and ipr, concern still present... any ideas?? not to familiar with the 7.3, thanks
  8. I have good fuel pressure, i did take the secondary fuel filter cap off and blead the system... also had the fuel lines off at the housing as well.. I am now thinking that this truck needs injectors, i had 3 contribution codes before I ripped the egr cooler off. Earlier today I unplugged a couple of injectors and plugged in two older cores that I had lying around.. they buzzed with the key on b4 startup... kind of had a feeling something was wrong when i only heard #7 injector buzz at koeo, too bad i didnt persue this further a day ago:( running injector self test I didnt have any codes or indication that they were failing... thanks for your input guys!!
  9. Hey guys, I have a 2004 f350, replaced the egr cooler for a leak.. After replacement and following 30km r-test it started misfiring and would not start. dtc p0603. I had the batteries disconected, tried to reprogram pcm with snap on programmer as per ssm 17571, unable to do so. Icp 1100 psi, ipr 31%, ficm sync yes, ficm pwr all good, swaped with a known good ficm, replaced injector harness, new oil, seems to have good vref, (i unplugged each vref sensor one at a time to eliminate vref concern.) I have good grounds and powers at pcm. im running out of ideas:(
