  1. vehicle drove in overheating egr cooler blown out, blowing steam from the exhaust after it cooled down would not start i did an injector self test dont hear any injectors clicking but results are self test pass i had one like this before the egr cooler smoked all 8 injectors fleet manager cant believe it needs all 8 injectors anybody else experience similar problem
  2. thanks for the feed back guys.. i left the intake soaking in the parts washer for 2 days used a round wire brush and blew it out at this point im just gonna throw another intake on it
  3. did a forum search on this didnt really find anything..im getting pretty large carbon chunks clogging up the egr valve this e series has a new egr cooler and oil cooler and the intake was completely cleaned the vehicle goes about 300 miles and then limps back with "diesel diamonds" stuck in the egr valve...oh it also has the baffle kit installed if it makes a difference

  5. all the time, i think the e series holds more under hood temp then the f series..good thing most of our fleet is already on there 2nd harness...
  6. i was using the ids...believe or not all 8 injectors are fried.plugged in new injectors in 7 and 8 cylinders and they clicked..the story i got was the battery went dead and they "boosted" it with a battery charger..first time i seen all 8 shit the bed...maybe they used a 24 volt charger and the ficm ramped up the voltage and cooked the injectors??
  7. got an 06 cranks no codes when running injector electric self test injectors dont click at all finishes test and says pass..swapped a ficm didnt help.. voltage to the ficm is good grounds are good any suggestions???
  8. if you remove the power steering pump and remove left side mount you will have plenty of clearance to remove right side valve cover
