  1. Lb7, under the cover External injectors I hope?
  2. Buried with gm work. 2012 turbo, 2004 injectors, 2015 with a destroyed transfer case and c5 clutch housing cracked on the Allison. 2011 6l80 apart with a pooched pump and debris. Acadia ps pump. 2006 express with a t case run low and the slip yoke welded to the output shaft. 2012 ambulance with front end work, and a 2009 suburban needs an engine at 265,000 miles. Had a complete fuel system declined on a 2011 dmax so I have to reassemble for the customer to pick up. Fuel pressure regulator 1 on the pump full of metal paste. Not even sure if it will run, but they want it put back together. Have a 2010 super duty for maintenance and front end work, also adding a timbren kit on the rear, and a 2015 for maintenance and a dot inspection outside. My advisor informed me that 3 trucks from my best fleet are on there way on from the oil patch for tomorrow.
  3. If anyone would like to come to Wyoming for a while, we are extremely busy. I cant ever seem to get ahead.
  4. I had a 3/4 ton truck with load range e tires come in with 137 psi in the right front tire. 116 and 117 in the rears, and 77 in the lf. WTF
  5. Sounds dumb, but I impact them and then put a torque wrench on them. Usually I find they are slightly overtightened. By 5% or so. It is kind of like a dumb game in my head. Also our air pressure fluctuates from 90 to 120 psi. I more do it so I can say I did it to prevent any further liability. Oil drain plugs I torque every one of them and type in on the ro. Also helps me sleep at night.
  6. No worries on yours. I have my black tailgate on. I popped the step down and raised the stripper pole for business.
  7. 1 of the ambulances has a coolant leak from the block to the flywheel housing, and an upper oil pan leak. Sigh. Also needs better front coil springs as I can only get it set to -.5 degrees camber unloaded and it murders tires. These gm ambulances are real piles.
  8. I have 2 ambulances here for service and ps work. Have a 2013 gm turbo, and a 2011 egr bypass valve on a dmax. Then a bunch of crappy work after that. I was told we are taking appointments for nex year now.
  9. Plus the camera, plus the latches, plus the step, plus the hinges, plus the emblem, plus the bezel. I looked it up the shell is about 500 clams.
  10. I found 1 with the step and backup camera in really good shape for 750 in Denver and I have a buddy who is going to pick it up for me. They took 1200 off the purchase price on the truck so I'll be ok after paint.
  11. My new to me f350. I paid 15,600 without a tailgate. Thing is super clean. http://www.wilsonmotor.com/Used-2009-Ford-F-350-Logan-UT/vd/23171996 I am sure they will take the link off soon. I drove 7 hours to buy it from another dealer.
  12. I picked up a 2009 super duty, but someone stole the tailgate. Holy shit are those thing expensive. Anyway, I am looking for 1. I have back up camera and built in step, but can live without the step. If anyone knows where some take offs are, or where to get one let me know. I have checked several salvage yards, a few on Craigslist, and checked eBay. M truck is red, but I can paint to match.
  13. That's a heavy truck. The one ways usually only explode from shock load and the low 1 way takes 100% of the torque in od 1st gear so a nice rolling backwards shift to drive shocks it good.
  14. I finished up a 2011 Duramax Fuel system last week and snapped a few pics. Looks familiar.
  15. The shit is really hitting the fan at my dealer as our new parts and service director claims all diagnosis, teardown, and reassembly as well as doing the cost cap crap is included in the labor time and there will be no straight time for it. By the way I am at a gm dealer. Our labor ops have been slowly being ground down on things that require prior approval. I told him yesterday that these jobs will set outside until someone does the work I am not being payed to do. I have a transmission to tead down outside right now waiting. This particular car was towed to our dealer because the chevy dealer 6 miles away let it set outside for 2 months. It a rear fuckfest around here. I will gladly repair it per the workshop manual, which is what is covered by the labor op.
  16. Management? I am not familiar with that term. Day to day operations here.
  17. Have a 2007 f150 in with bottles of 10 w-30 napa oil all over in the cab. Checked maintenance records and it is at 24,200 miles since last oil change. No cam phaser noise when I drove it in. At filter full of muck.
  18. I've had 3 abulances in this week. Trans concerns , coolant leaks, airbag light, service work. These are all gm 4500 dura max rigs. I will take an e series any day over these things. I weighed 1, and it was 4600 on the front axle with nobody in it. The max gawr is 4600. I can only get them to -.5 degrees of camber on the shitty independent front suspension. They are a disaster front to back. Also I thought broken 6.4 dipstick tubes made a mess. I had a 550 in for low fuel pressure concern and the dipstick tube is broken off and the whole truck is covered underneath. Smelled like it was ready to go up in flames at any moment. Had a beat up 96 plow truck brought in with a starter problem, a gm 4500 that has wiring issues and service. This 4500 has had the chassis stretched, and they weighed it at over 21000 lbs. the gvwr on the door is 17,500. Have 4 f150 tricks in for dot inspections and service. Been a while since I had some enjoyable work, but it is payin the bills.
  19. I get it hot by running it wide open in park for 5 to 10 minites. Le off and then when it comes back to idle, mat it again. I can usually duplicate it after a few runs up and downif there is a problem.
  20. I grab my side cutters and cut the aluminum and give a twist and the retainers just fall out. I had one 1The other day that had the deflector upside down, blocking a bit of the radiator with just 2 mangled retainers.
  21. I worked at an AGCO Dealer when I was in high school and for 2 years out of high school to save money for college. I loved it. I was given a service truck, and was paid overtime. We worked a lot of overtime during harvest, and a lot was paid drive time. Hourly was great. Just expect the pay to be quite a bit lower per hour. I would go back if I wasn't making really good money where I am at.
  22. Check the APP pids and make they all show no APP input.
  23. I have a 2013 Duramax in for a Turbo, and DEF tank heater. It has 300,000 miles on her. Then outside I have about 80 hours already approved and the repair orders keep piling up. My poor advisor is having a hard time with the needy SOB's who think we should drop everything to go put air in their tire for the fucking low tire light.
  24. We had an ASEP grad from UTI start a couple weeks ago. He graduated high in is class and is 70% GM trained. Came in with a small toolbox and was totally lost. He doesn't have a car, and had no car when he was going to school. He ran into 3 things in the shop, and now is not allowed to drive any vehicles. The advisors and other techs have to pull in his vehicles. He backed into a $90,000 Platinum Escalade that was in for a PDI, and was already sold. At least he drains my oil Drains for me and is easy to get along with.
  25. So I had a key in ignition code setting as a hard fault. Not sure if that was causing it. Guy left and came back with a spare key from the show. I programmed the 2 new keys and off he went. So I have no answer as to why I could not gain security access..
